Prayer: A Treasure Undiminished

"The potency of prayer hath subdued the strength of fire; it hath bridles the rage of lions, hushed the anarchy to rest, extinguished wars, appeased the elements, expelled demons, burst the chains of death, expanded the gates of heaven, assuaged diseases, repelled frauds, rescues cities from destruction, stayed the sun in its course, and arrested the progress of the thunderbolt.
Prayer is an all-sufficient panoply, a treasure undiminished, a mine which is never exhausted, a sky unobscured by clouds, a heaven unruffled by the storm.  It is the root, the fountain, the mouth, of a thousand blessings." ~Chrysostom
Let us therefore boldly approach the throne of grace. Let us spend hours on our knees imploring the mercies of heaven.  And as the prayers and praises go up, the blessings will come down.  Persist in fervent prayer, my friends!
